A wonderfully fresh perspective on creativity by author Elizabeth Gilbert

3

I love the talks on TED. The guests  are incredibly inspiring, the topics diverse and always relevant.

Recently, a friend posted this talk on her Facebook profile and I just had to share. It’s a talk by Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love .

It is helping me to shape my currently fragile attitude towards creating and rethink how I approach my creative projects.

Enjoy:

Awesome clip. I love book Eat, Pray, Love. Being new to drawing and so urgently wanting to create but feeling like I’m stumbling through exercises without really grasping the creative aspect of it all. I’ll just keep stumbling and eventually the genius will show up.

Oh, I saw this on Penelope Dullaghan’s blog some weeks ago. Isn’t it wonderful?! What a clever and inspiring person Elizabeth is. Now I’d really better read Eat, Pray, Love….
So, I’ve only just discovered your new site here Trish, and I’m off to have a look around. It looks great on first impressions!
